Angela Garcia
Angela brings almost 20 years of experience as an educator and school
administrator. She has taught, served as a principal, and consulted with
public school teachers as they worked to improve their practice. As a
consultant at DC Voice, she worked with parents and teachers across the
District of Columbia to identify issues and opportunities to improve the
educational experience for children enrolled in public schools. Her
experience includes developing cultural competency programs for educators,
retreat facilitation, human resources issues in schools, effective parental
involvement, staff development, and design and delivery of instructional
programs for educators.
Angela has a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and a Master of Science
in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She has taken courses in
education administration at Lesley College. Angela was selected to
participate in The Washington Post's Principal Leadership Institute and last
year received a fellowship in the Nonprofit Roundtable's Future Executive
Directors program.
